This was my first official book cover designing project, and to design it for “the Doctor” was an honor! The money texture was developed in Photoshop and the layout and gradients in Illustrator.
It may come as a surprise, but the back cover is probably my favorite. I love how the text came together, especially the quotation by Christian McShaffrey.
There were many others, but this was the major source of inspiration in this cover design.
Seeing a return to the Bible is dependent on our relationship with the next generation. This is clearly illustrated in the image we chose of Dr, Jones with his granddaughter which is available on the family's Foundation's Facebook page.
In this early version, cyan was overlaid on the image which after it was enhanced with a money texture using Photoshop. Sepia would quickly replace it and be used moving forward.
I have ordered a copy of the book. Once it arrives I will post a photo of it with the original cover which my design replaced.
